Mumbai Dragon Fly Club Raid
The arrest unfolded during a late-night raid at the Mumbai Dragon Fly Club Raid, located in the renowned Hotel JW Marriott in Andheri. The authorities, acting on reports of the club operating beyond the permitted hours and flouting COVID-19 protocols, conducted the raid around 2 am on a Tuesday.
A total of 34 individuals, including Suresh Raina and Sussanne Khan, and seven club staff members, were taken into custody under various sections of the law. The charges included Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Bombay Police Act, and the Epidemic Disease Act. The raid also led to the arrest of Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa, along with 13 women and seven club staffers.
Suresh Raina and Sussanne Khan: Charges Faced
Mumbai Police booked the individuals under Section 188 (Disobedience to orders by public servants), Section 269 (Acts likely to spread dangerous diseases), and Section 34 (Acts done in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC, along with provisions of the National Disaster Management Act (NDMA).
Following their arrest, both Suresh Raina and Sussanne Khan were released on bail. Suresh Raina, the cricket star, took a break from international games in August. Now, he will play for his home state, Uttar Pradesh, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy starting on January 10. Raina is super excited about it!

Meanwhile, Sussanne Khan had recently made headlines for her visit to the Bandra Police station. In a viral video, she was observed inspecting the station alongside IAS officer Abhishek Singh for potential renovation work.
